Consistency isn’t lost in the market. It’s lost in what you don’t review. For weeks, I’ve been building something different. Voice-first trade journaling. Structured reflection. Under 2 minutes. No essays. No friction. No dashboards screaming at you. Just clarity. Today I’m sharing the launch video. Launching soon. If you care about discipline more than dopamine, early access is open: tally.so/r/0QEVDZ PS: Built the entire launch animation using @Replit new AI live animation tool. Wild what’s possible now. @amasad, thanks for making this possible. Exciting times ahead!

Otedola went on camera and said he wants $100M in the Dangote Refinery private placement. And my first thought was: this man already has his shares. You don’t visit a refinery 25 times and then announce you want in. That’s not how smart money moves. I trade forex. I know this pattern. By the time it’s on camera, the position is already built. The announcement is just the exit ramp for someone else. That said, let me tell you why I’m still interested. 650,000 barrels a day. Largest single-train refinery on earth. You buy the shares in naira and collect dividends in dollars. In this economy, that last part alone should stop you mid-scroll. My concern is the valuation. Late 2025 this thing was valued at $20 to $25 billion. Today they’re saying $40 to $50 billion. The refinery didn’t double. The hype did. And IPOs at peak hype are rarely where you want to be going all in. So come September, I’m starting with 20 to 25% of my intended position and waiting for the price to find its honest level before I accumulate. The asset is real. Dangote is credible. The play is long term. But the most important thing I took from watching Otedola that day had nothing to do with his $100M. It was the 25 visits nobody heard about.

Gold absolutely maltreated me this week 😭 I was hyped for expansions, but the market had other plans and I got whooped badly. Unreal week. We move

It hurts to type this but Congratulations to Arsenal on winning the premier league. This is a well deserved win. 🎉

I haven’t felt this conflicted on Gold in a while. Technically, I still see my classic AMD pattern forming on the daily. We’ve been consolidating in a tight range for days and now price is breaking lower. To me, this looks more like a liquidity sweep than true bearish continuation. 4620 and potentially 4550 are still the key levels I’m watching for buys. That’s where liquidity sits beneath the range and where I’d expect aggressive reactions if this is manipulation before expansion higher. But the conflict is the fundamentals. DXY gained strength today from hot inflation data, strong retail sales and rising Treasury yields. Markets are repricing higher-for-longer Fed policy and naturally that pressures Gold. Short term, that’s bearish. But personally, I don’t think sustained dollar strength is that simple from here. Sticky inflation + high rates + rising debt costs eventually create systemic stress. At some point the market stops seeing high rates as USD bullish and starts seeing them as something that breaks demand and confidence. That’s usually where Gold benefits most. So right now I see: Short term bearish pressure. Long term bullish macro structure. Which is exactly why this breakdown still feels more like a sweep… than real continuation lower.

Guess who’s heading into the weekend with fresh Claude tokens. Honestly, it’s both a blessing and a curse 😂

Sat out every Gold sell setup. I just don’t enjoy shorting Gold, never had great experiences with it. After last week’s close, I had one expectation: sweep the previous week’s low, then buy Gold. Looks like that played out perfectly.

Instead of doomscrolling for 24 minutes, watch @AnthropicAI ‘s Applied AI team show you how to actually prompt Claude so it becomes your thinking partner. Pure signal. From the people who built it.

So here’s what’s next for Mentra: • Built-in reminders to drive consistency • A proper mobile experience • A cleaner, more focused journaling flow Still early. Still iterating. But now it’s being shaped by real users.

This is why building fast through vibecoding matters. Get it out. Let people use it. Watch where it breaks. Then iterate until something sticks.

I vibecoded a journaling product and put 30 people through it. Here’s what broke, what worked, and what building in public actually taught me about Mentra: mentraa.vercel.app

But real users expose the truth fast. Biggest problem? People didn’t stay consistent. They journal once… then disappear.
