@thedoublebruce @TeamJakeAbbey For reference— Duxbury Beach is not a DCR state beach. It’s managed by the Town of Duxbury. On DCR beaches, protective fencing is only set up around nesting areas, not across the open beach. DCR state beaches themselves aren’t closed due to piping plovers.

@TeamJakeAbbey @MassDCR Slight inconvenience? Shutting down all of duxbury beach is not a slight inconvenience. Fences come down at the end of July. The summer is basically over. If the bird cant adapt it deserves to die. Its not even endangered. We have very limited beach time here. Stop messing it up
