Not a single person in my extended family is vegan; however, they respect my food choices and never try to change me. I see plant based items in their space as well, which gives me hope. Standing alone is an honor here. I am doing it for the animals, for my health, for our Earth.

Denmark's Bold Stand: When Animal Welfare Meets Religious Tradition 🇩🇰 In 2014, Denmark drew a line in the sand. Every animal entering a slaughterhouse must be stunned before slaughter. No exceptions. No religious exemptions. The reason? To minimize suffering in an animal's final moments. 💔 This meant the end of unstunned kosher and halal slaughter practices that had previously been permitted. Animal welfare advocates cheered. The government was clear: protecting creatures from extreme pain takes priority. 🛡️ But the response wasn't unanimous. Jewish and Muslim communities pushed back hard, arguing that Denmark was trampling on their religious freedoms and centuries-old traditions. It simply adds one step—a humane one—before the traditional process continues. Today, halal meat is still produced in Denmark when this requirement is met. Kosher meat, however, is largely imported from elsewhere. 📍 Denmark isn't alone. Other European nations have adopted similar standards, turning this into a defining debate of our era: tradition versus compassion, rights versus welfare. 🚨FLORIDA WOMAN ACCUSED OF KICKING DOG IN FACE COULD FACE UP TO 5 YEARS IN PRISON A 64-year-old Florida woman is facing felony aggravated animal cruelty charges after Fort Myers police say she repeatedly kicked a dog in the face during a confrontation over the animal not being on a leash. According to investigators, officers responded to a disturbance on Red Cedar Drive involving two women. Police say Olga Dimant approached the dog’s owner while recording her on a cellphone because the dog was not on a leash. The dog’s owner told officers she agreed the dog should have been leashed and attempted to walk away, but said Dimant continued following and recording her. During the confrontation, the owner says the dog approached Dimant multiple times and Dimant kicked the dog in the face several times, causing the animal to yelp in pain. Witnesses reportedly told police the dog appeared friendly and non-aggressive throughout the incident. Officers also reviewed video footage that allegedly showed the dog being kicked. Dimant was booked into the Lee County Jail on May 13, 2026, on charges of aggravated animal cruelty involving excessive pain or death. In Florida, aggravated animal cruelty is a serious felony offense that can carry a sentence of up to five years in prison.

The House of Bruar is selling a range of fur products from foxes, raccoons and more. Fur farming is illegal in Britain and selling it shouldn't be allowed, but the Government refuse to ban fur imports despite huge public support to do so
