⚠️ High Wind and High Fire Danger for Boulder County – Sat, Mar. 14 Expect dangerous winds, extreme fire risk, and likely power outages. Prepare for possible outages up to 48 hrs. Charge devices, secure outdoor items, avoid sparks, and sign up for emergency alerts at bocoalert.org

Bluebell Fire Final Update - 6:30pm The Bluebell Fire is 100% contained. There are no active flames and crews are in mop up. Crews will continue to monitor the area throughout the night and tomorrow. Trails remain closed. While we only had an evacuation warning today, this is a good time to sign up for emergency alerts if you haven’t already. You can sign up for emergency alerts at bocoalert.org. You can learn more about the options for receiving emergency alerts and information at boulderodm.gov.

Bluebell Fire Update - 3:45pm The fire is at 50% containment and 1.5 acres. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Crews remain on scene and air support is on standby. There have been no reported injuries, no structures impacted, and OSMP trails remain closed in the area. Smoke will continue to rise from the area as fuels burn off. We will continue to post updates on Boulder Fire-Rescue social media.

A little video I recorded for other platforms about the imminent CME arrival and solar/geomagnetic storm – which I thought might be useful here too!
