Premier Smith, As a proud Albertan who has stood with you through the Trudeau years, I love this province with everything I have. But I cannot stay silent while you celebrate a new MOU pipeline deal with Mark Carney that includes an industrial carbon price. That price will not “turn the tide” for the working families already crushed by affordability. Many are down to their last $20 every two weeks after rent, groceries, and power bills. This added cost will not create prosperity, it will bankrupt them. Your decision to mutilate the October referendum question into something so vague and toothless shows a painful disconnect from the very people who elected you. It feels less like leadership for Alberta and more like political positioning for those who simply want to remain in Canada at any cost while you campaign against the rest. Treaty 8 was entered into in 1899 before Alberta existed as a province. At that time, what is now Alberta was part of the Northwest Territories and under federal/Dominion jurisdiction. In 1905, Alberta became a province, meaning governance over the same territory changed in a major way. Then, in 1930, Canada transferred control of Crown lands, natural resources, mines, minerals and water to Alberta under the Natural Resources Transfer Agreement. Those were profound jurisdictional changes. Yet Treaty rights were not extinguished or impacted by either event. That history matters. Alberta independence does not threaten Treaty rights.

Started today by seeing Alberta Patriots gathering in southeast Calgary — around 60 vehicles covered in Alberta flags driving together across the city for nearly 2 hours in support of Alberta independence. The support from people on the roads, sidewalks, and overpasses was incredible. Honks, waves, thumbs up everywhere. Even the Calgary Police helicopter was monitoring the event from above by the end. Oncologists routinely give drugs that cause horrific side effects, liver toxicity and sometimes even death. That's considered "normal". Here we have a (currently) 81 year old patient on what would be considered "high" doses of Ivermectin, Mebendazole and Fenbendazole and not only does he not have any side effects, he feels MUCH better and is off ALL pain medications! (that alone is costing Big Pharma thousands in lost profits) It's very important to point out these double standards, because mainstream Oncology is full of them. It's also important to point out the misinformation around repurposed drugs. Remember, Big Pharma stands to make $200,000/year on Keytruda vs $2000 on Ivermectin. That is a 100-fold difference in profit. "If Ivermectin worked, all Oncologists would use it" At 100 times less profit? No, they wouldn't. No one takes a 99% pay cut voluntarily.
