THE STORYBOARD STEP MOST CREATORS SKIP BEFORE SEEDANCE 2.0 The character sheet was locked. Turns out that's only half the job. I used to jump straight from a reference sheet into Seedance prompts and just hope the model would figure out pacing and angles on its own. It doesn't- you end up with a gorgeous character design that still feels disconnected shot to shot like six different moments instead of one scene. Here's what actually fixed it for me 1. Build the character concept and full reference sheet in GPT Image 2 first -face, tattoos, piercings, outfit, weapon, all locked down with close-up callouts so nothing's left to guesswork 2. Sketch a 6-panel storyboard before touching Seedance at all wide, medium, close-up, low angle, wide again, extreme wide 3. Give every panel its own lens size- 35mm down to 12mm -so the scale actually shifts on purpose instead of feeling random 4. Color-code the arrows on the board itself one color for her body movement, one for the camera, one for framing, one for lighting, one for the emotional beat 5. Use the board to lock continuity early -same rooftop, same night lighting, same silhouette from the first panel to the last 6. Turn each storyboard panel into a Seedance prompt by carrying over the camera and lens notes you already decided, instead of re-describing the scene from scratch every time 7.
