Today marks the anniversary of the debut of The Prisoner, which premiered on this day in 1967. I have delved deep into this series, immersing myself in its world by even journeying to the picturesque Portmeirion. This thought-provoking show has truly captured my imagination.

There were many clubs across the city during the 60's with a history of hosting legends pre fame. The Tabernacle in Stockport a major one in the summer of love, check my history board for some highlights you may be surprised!

I look back amazed I supplied 5 years of Manchester Pop Trail as a weekly column in the MEN, allowing me opportunities to remind readers what hidden and forgotten history we have to preserve such as 9 April 1965 The Who's Greater Mcr debut live at Alrincham's Stamford Hall!

My artwork over the years has featured heavily on The Beatles. This led to a commission back in 1998 painting a mural in hall, stairs & landing of a terraced house in Wigan. The results ending up as news on Granada Reports + local press even the Daily Mirror! Here's some images..

Love this No 6 McGoohan figure. A big fan of The Prisoner TV series and original member of Six of One fan club meeting in Brooklands South Manchester back in the late 1970's. Highest paid actor, an original soundtrack, in colour for American Market. Many landmarks!

Tucked away in Hulme South Manchester is the Grade II listed Playhouse Theatre. The former BBC studio where on 7 March 1962 The Beatles made their radio debut broadcast on the 8th. The first time the nation introduced to the fab four. Pete Best on drums and historic moment !

In 2014 I hosted a Manchester 60's music event feat local artists from The Hollies, Hermans Hermits plus Pete Maclaine & Johnny Peters . The event an extention of my @McrPopTrail column, the artists presenting me with the 1st MAMA now on view with others in the Millstone Pub Mcr.

My families love for Take That has supported them all their lives, many concerts this ticket from 2006 while their devotion continues today. This pic from 1997's Gary Barlow convention at Piccadilly Hotel his debut solo album Open Road provided a video exclusive. #sjmconcerts
