A HUGE thank you to our cheering section yesterday that traveled to Athens to cheer on our distance runners. Your support means so much!

Congratulations to Kat Creasman for overcoming an XC season ending injury and qualifying for the State Track Meet in the 1600 and 800 for the second year in a row! We are proud of you, Kat!

Boys 4x800 comes in ranked 15th based on PRs and places 13th at State! They started the year at 8:31, ran 8:07 at Sectionals, and ran their 2nd best time of the season today with an 8:18! With 2 juniors and 2 freshmen on the team, they are already looking forward to next year!

The girls place 4th in the 4x800 at State and get on the podium! This is the best girls 4x800 State finish in school history! They ran 9:45, the new #2 fastest time in school history. Congratulations to Khary Tremble, Gia Hoang, Emi Hoang, and Elizabeth Morales-Carbajal!

We had a great time at our XC Kickoff tonight!

Shoutout to sophomore Carsyn Marzella, who came into Sectionals seeded 13th in the 3200 but placed 10th! Great job, Carsyn!

Shoutout to senior Elizabeth Morales-Carbajal, whose 2:23 at Sectionals is the new #3 best senior time in school history!

Congratulations to Kat Creasman for qualifying for State in both the 1600 and the 800! She’ll be joined at State by Elizabeth Morales-Carbajal, who qualified in the 800 (and helped the 4x800 qualify as well). Great job, ladies!

The boys 4x800 of Collin Cannon, Joseph Lee, Andre Smith, and Landen Settles place 8th in a highly competitive race at Sectionals to qualify for State! They ran 8:27 at County but improved to 8:07 today! That’s the new 7th best time in school history! Great job, guys!

The 4x800 of Khary Tremble, Gia Hoang, Emi Hoang, and Elizabeth Morales-Carbajal place 1st at Sectionals in a new ⭐️School Record⭐️ of 9:42! A season best by 11 seconds! Great job, ladies-on to State!

Congratulations to Coach Dee, Coach Andrews, and the Mill Creek Junior Hawks Track team for an awesome end to the season yesterday! At the North Georgia Youth Track Championships, the girls placed 1st, the boys placed 6th, and the girls/boys placed 1st in the combined scoring!

Girls and boys are Region Runners-up! Several Distance Sectional qualifiers. Go Hawks!

Congratulations to Tyler Cloer, who was recognized at the GCPS Outstanding Senior Athletes Banquet! Tyler did so much for Mill Creek Cross Country and Track and is more than deserving of this award. Thank you, Tyler, for giving so much of yourself to the team!

Girls are the Region CHAMPIONS in the 4x800! Their time of 9:53.11 is the 3rd best time in school history! The boys were seeded 3rd but placed 2nd in 8:22! Both boys and girls 4x800s move on to Sectionals. Go Hawks!

We had a great Region tune up at GAC! Perhaps the highlight of the day goes to Landen Settles, who was 3rd in the 1600 with a time of 4:26, a 5 second PR! JD Mountjoy finished up his Mill Creek career by running 11:37. Thank you for always running your heart out, JD!

Come to the new runner/parent meeting next Thursday 4/23! This is for rising 9th graders/parents and also current high schoolers/parents. Hope to see you there!
