My book Enterprise Application Patterns using .NET MAUI is now available! Lots of info to help you start building apps on the right path. It can be dowloaded from aka.ms/maui-ebook The best part is that it comes at the low, low price of FREE! #dotnet #MAUI #dotNETMAUI

I am working on a new Rich Text Editor for .NET MAUI. github.com/TheEightBot/Mi… Still very early, but I will work on getting packages and a write-up for it ready soon.

@MichaelStonis Did you at least get to cross "huh a MacBook are you allowed to be seen at Microsoft with that?" from your bingo card?

The amount of MacBooks at #MVPSummit is staggering. It was just us mobile development oddballs when I first got here.

Working on my next @dotnet MAUI control. You can probably guess what it is. Hoping to have this one ready next week.

@wieslawsoltes @hypeartistmusic I think the fact that there are all of these previously super-complex, large-team, and expensive UI components being released by individuals should make people take notice. The number of controls/apps you have recently is extreme, and I know that I have a few more cooking too.

@wieslawsoltes @hypeartistmusic Similarly, when I first approached this as a native MAUI implementation getting any kind of decent performance across platforms was such a massive pain. At least with SKIA, if I know I can batch draw operations and cache workloads, the performance is pretty incredible.

@hypeartistmusic @MichaelStonis In my profiling of ProDataGird it showed last remaining issues was text layout from Avalonia so SkiaSharp custom draw operations and special caching and measure optimizations made it very fast probably comparable with fully custom draw solution yet all features still available.

@wieslawsoltes @hypeartistmusic oh man, I hadn't seen this. I love it. I wish I had seen this before I went down my own path. Feels like there would be opportunities to collaborate.

I have been working on variations of this library for quite some time, and I am pretty happy with where it stands. It is still very early though. Check it out and let me know what you all think!

@beeradmoore @vincenth_net No. both are markup, but just different styles. Both are valid. There is no codegen with markup because you are literally writing the UI, so no interpretation or compilation is needed.

@vincenth_net @MichaelStonis Am I assuming correctly that the centre is markup and right is codgen from it? The centre one looks awful. What do you mean if I want to see what properties my StackPanel has I have to scroll past everything else that lives inside it.
