@terporiole @formalhoya1984 Bit of revisionist history and singular focus on Maryland. We had lost a closely contested OT game with Dayton and beaten Clemson. All the experts were projecting us as a bubble team based on that body of work. We’ve fallen off a cliff since, but it was hardly all about Maryland.

There are no words for what I just witnessed. That 2nd half was worse than anything I have seen from my beloved Hoyas in the Cooley era and possibly last 10 years. Finishing half 1-23 and I suspect some could do that blindfolded on just dumb luck. Expected much better Year 3.

@terporiole @formalhoya1984 In fairness to us (and Maryland), we beat them with a healthy Pharrel Payne who was averaging 17 and 7 before his horrific first injury this season. They have been a shadow of their former selves ever since. To be certain, we have too. But they were a different team then.

5-star guard Jordan Smith Jr. is expected to commit to a school between Feb-Apr, per close sources. The 6’2 CG ranked #2 in the ‘26 class is down to 6 schools: Duke, Arkansas, Gtown, Indiana, Cuse, Kentucky. Per recent sources though, Smith is likely down to Duke, Arky, Gtown.

2026 5⭐️ Qayden Samuels just went for 40 points and 16 rebounds in Bishop McNamara’s win at @CityOfPalmsBKB this morning. The 6-foot-6 guard knocked down shots from deep, consistently got to the basket, and lived at the free-throw line. It was an impressive showing from the five-star wing. Samuels told @LeagueRDY last week that Alabama and Georgetown were the two schools involved in his recruitment.
