you remember when armin was in shock when he emerged from his titan after destroying the port and killing a huge amount of people in one go? i always think what erwin's reaction would be in that moment. unlike armin, he is "used" to killing and causing death. of course it would still affect him, but he would be more... numb, in a sense? like erwin is so emotionally closed off person, i believe he would be even more so in s4, wielding the power of titan, being the god of destruction. i think he's be like a ghost or a shell of a person he used to be, he would be deeply disturbed but at the same time all his feelings would be dulled immensely. all he would feel would be pain and desire for it all to end already and i can't help but think of levi in this scenario — what guilt *he* would feel, watching erwin being even more detached than before, seeing his love in such a pain, knowing *he* was the one who cause it, knowing it was because of *his* selfish act — because he thought of *himself* when choosing erwin to live, not of erwin as someone on twt one said, had levi loved erwin even a tiny bit less, he would've been alive (and suffering)
