What If Israel's Final Two Prophets Are Also Her First Two Witnesses? Few prophetic questions have inspired more discussion than the identity of the Two Witnesses in Revelation 11. The text never names them. Yet it leaves behind a remarkable trail of biblical clues. Their ministry unfolds during what Jeremiah calls "the time of Jacob's trouble"—Israel's darkest hour. "Alas! That day is so great there is none like it; it is the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it."— Jeremiah 30:7 Daniel describes it as "a time of distress such as has never occurred since there was a nation" (Daniel 12:1). Yeshua echoes those words, calling it "great tribulation, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now" (Matthew 24:21). Yet Jeremiah's prophecy contains an equally important promise: Jacob will be saved out of it. Bible teacher Arnold Fruchtenbaum has often emphasized that one of God's purposes in this future Tribulation is to bring Israel to national repentance and prepare her for the coming Kingdom of Messiah. Into that setting, Revelation introduces two extraordinary witnesses. For 1,260 days, they prophesy in Jerusalem clothed in sackcloth, the familiar sign of mourning, humility, and repentance throughout the Tanakh (Revelation 11:3; Daniel 9:3; Joel 1:13). Revelation says they can shut the heavens, turn water into blood, and strike the earth with plagues (Revelation 11:6). Immediately two names come to mind. Moses. Elijah. Elijah declared, "There shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word."— 1 Kings 17:1 Through Moses, the Nile became blood and Egypt was struck with devastating plagues (Exodus 7–12). The similarities are difficult to ignore. When Yeshua was transfigured before Peter, James, and John, it was Moses and Elijah who appeared with Him, speaking about His coming exodus that He was about to accomplish in Jerusalem (Luke 9:30–31). Moses led Israel through the first Exodus. Followers of Yeshua see in His work the greater Exodus foreshadowed by Moses. Isaiah wrote: "Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows... He was pierced for our transgressions... and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."— Isaiah 53:4–6 For followers of Yeshua, the Torah and the Prophets find their fulfillment in Israel's Messiah. 📜 Then the Tanakh closes with these remarkable words: "Remember the Torah of My servant Moses..." Then immediately: "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the LORD." — Malachi 4:4–5 The Tanakh closes with Moses. Elijah. The Day of the LORD. That sequence is extraordinary. Could God once again send the great representative of the Torah together with the great prophet of repentance during Israel's darkest hour? Imagine Moses reminding Israel of the promise he himself recorded: "The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me... You must listen to Him." "I will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him." — Deuteronomy 18:15, 18 Imagine Elijah once again proclaiming: "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him." — 1 Kings 18:21 Perhaps the greatest clue is found in the words of Yeshua Himself: "If you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me." — John 5:46 Whether one accepts that claim or continues to wrestle with it, it stands as one of the New Testament's clearest statements about the relationship between Moses and the Messiah. 🌿 Revelation also calls them "the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the Lord of the earth" (Revelation 11:4), drawing directly from Zechariah's vision. There the message is unmistakable: "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the LORD Almighty. — Zechariah 4:6 Eventually the beast kills them. The nations celebrate. Their bodies lie in the streets of Jerusalem. But after three and a half days, "The breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet." — Revelation 11:11 God's testimony cannot be silenced. Nor can His covenant. Zechariah foresaw the day when God would pour out upon the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem "a spirit of grace and supplication." "They will look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for an only son." — Zechariah 12:10 Then comes the promise: "On that day a fountain will be opened... to cleanse them from sin and impurity." — Zechariah 13:1 Daniel saw the same King: "One like a Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven... To Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations and languages should serve Him." — Daniel 7:13–14 Isaiah saw the nations gather to Him: "The Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to Him." — Isaiah 11:10 Paul declared: "The Deliverer will come from Zion; He will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is My covenant with them when I take away their sins." — Romans 11:26–27 Whether the Two Witnesses are Moses and Elijah, Elijah and Enoch, or two future prophets appointed by God, Revelation does not say. We should not be dogmatic where Scripture remains silent. ✨ But the biblical pattern is breathtaking. Moses remembered. Elijah promised. Jerusalem chosen. Jacob refined. Messiah revealed. From the closing verses of the Tanakh to the closing chapters of Revelation, one theme echoes through every generation: God keeps His covenant. Perhaps the greatest question is not simply who the Two Witnesses are. Perhaps it is whether we are listening to the One to whom they have always pointed.

Robert Kennedy Jr. on Fox News: “The only genocide in Middle East is the one being committed against Jews and Christians. In 1948, there were a million Jews in Arab states. Today there are fewer than 15,000.” He's 100% correct.

From Telegram All Ye Nations, Praise The Lord All ye nations, praise the Lord, All ye lands your voices raise; Heaven and earth with loud accord, Praise the Lord, for ever praise. For his truth and mercy stand, Past, and present, and to be, Like the years of his right hand, Like his own eternity. Praise Him, ye who know his love; Praise Him from the depth beneath; Praise Him in the heights above; Praise your Maker, all that breathe. ~ James Montgomery 1771~1854

Why Doesn't God Go Straight to the New Heaven and New Earth? Because before eternity... the King must reign. "For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death." (1 Corinthians 15:25–26) Most Christians can describe two future events: • Christ's glorious return. • The New Heaven and the New Earth. But between those two events lies one of the most remarkable—and least understood—periods in all of Scripture: A thousand-year Kingdom. Why doesn't God simply defeat evil and usher in eternity? Because the Millennial Kingdom is not an unnecessary delay. It is God's public demonstration of His glory, His faithfulness, and His purposes for creation. Scripture presents this Kingdom as a unique period in redemptive history. It is neither the present Church Age nor the eternal state, but the glorious bridge between Christ's return and the New Heaven and New Earth. Notice how these passages describe a Kingdom that simply doesn't fit anywhere else. 👑 God Publicly Exalts His King The prophets foretold a visible reign of the Messiah over the nations. "The government will be on His shoulders." (Isaiah 9:6) "The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David... and He will reign over Jacob forever." (Luke 1:32–33) "Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession." (Psalm 2:8) "You will rule them with an iron scepter." (Psalm 2:9) "He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped Him." (Daniel 7:14) "They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." (Revelation 20:4) This is the promised Son of David reigning over the earth. An iron scepter implies real authority exercised over real nations. That fits neither the present age nor the eternal state, but perfectly complements the Kingdom described by the prophets and Revelation. 📜 God Publicly Fulfills His Covenants Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly declares His covenant faithfulness. "I will establish My covenant as an everlasting covenant." (Genesis 17:7) "If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night... then My covenant with David... may also be broken." (Jeremiah 33:20–21) "The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable." (Romans 11:29) The Kingdom is where God publicly demonstrates that not one covenant promise has failed. 🇮🇱 God Publicly Restores Israel The prophets consistently describe Israel restored under her Messiah. "I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land." (Ezekiel 36:24) "David My servant shall be king over them." (Ezekiel 37:24) "They shall live in the land that I gave to Jacob." (Ezekiel 37:25) "I will make a covenant of peace with them... My dwelling place shall be with them." (Ezekiel 37:26–27) "At that time they will call Jerusalem The Throne of the LORD." (Jeremiah 3:17) "The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." (Micah 4:2) Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Micah, Zechariah, Daniel, and John all point to the same coming Kingdom. 🌎 God Publicly Blesses the Nations The Kingdom fulfills God's promise to bless the nations through Israel's Messiah. "All nations will stream to it." (Isaiah 2:2) "Everyone who survives... will go up year after year to worship the King." (Zechariah 14:16) "Many peoples and powerful nations will come to seek the LORD Almighty in Jerusalem." (Zechariah 8:22) "Ten men... will take firm hold of one Jew and say, 'Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.'" (Zechariah 8:23) The nations still exist. Pilgrimages still occur. There is still accountability. That cannot describe the eternal state. 🌿 God Publicly Restores Creation The curse is dramatically restrained as creation flourishes beneath its rightful King. "The wolf will live with the lamb." (Isaiah 11:6) "The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:9) "The desert will rejoice and blossom." (Isaiah 35:1) "The creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay." (Romans 8:21) Creation itself longs for this day. ❤️ God Publicly Demonstrates Humanity's Greatest Need The Millennium forever silences the claim that mankind simply needs better leaders, better laws, or a better environment. During Christ's reign, Satan is bound. Justice fills the earth. Peace reaches the nations. Glorified saints reign with Him. Yet ordinary mortals still build homes, plant vineyards, raise families, and live remarkably long lives. "They will build houses and dwell in them." (Isaiah 65:21) "The one who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere child." (Isaiah 65:20) Death still exists. That cannot be the eternal state. Then comes one of the most astonishing passages in Scripture: "When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released... and will go out to deceive the nations." (Revelation 20:7–8) Even under the perfect King, many still rebel. Why? Because humanity's deepest problem has never been its environment. It has always been the heart. "The heart is deceitful above all things." (Jeremiah 17:9) "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you." (Ezekiel 36:26) "You must be born again." (John 3:7) Jeremiah diagnosed the problem. Ezekiel promised the cure. Jesus proclaimed the necessity. The Millennial Kingdom proves it. 📖 A Kingdom That Doesn't Fit Anywhere Else Christ reigns from David's throne. The nations stream to Jerusalem. Creation flourishes. Death is greatly diminished—but still exists. Satan is bound. Yet rebellion has not completely disappeared. That is not the world we live in today. Yet it cannot be the eternal state, for Scripture declares: "There will be no more death." (Revelation 21:4) "No longer will there be any curse." (Revelation 22:3) "I did not see a temple in the city." (Revelation 21:22) So where do these passages belong? Exactly where Revelation 20 places them. So Why Doesn't God Go Straight to the New Heaven and New Earth? Because before eternity... The King must reign in Jerusalem. God must publicly fulfill every covenant. Israel must be restored. The nations must be blessed. Creation must be renewed. And humanity's need for a new heart must be demonstrated once and for all. Every covenant finds its public vindication. Every promise to Abraham. Every promise to David. Every promise to Israel. Every promise concerning the Messiah. Every promise to the nations. Every promise concerning creation. Not one will fail. As Arnold Fruchtenbaum writes, "The Messianic Kingdom is the culmination of all the biblical covenants and prophetic promises concerning Israel, the nations, and the Messiah." Daniel saw that glorious day centuries before Christ's first coming: "He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed." (Daniel 7:14) "The kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High. His kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him." (Daniel 7:27) "The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this." (Isaiah 9:7)

As someone who grew up in the Muslim world, I’ve seen this pattern repeat itself: When Muslims are weak and in the minority, they speak endlessly about tolerance, coexistence, and peace. When they become strong and gain power, that tolerance completely disappears, even toward their own people. This isn’t an opinion. This is historical fact, proven across centuries and across many countries. The West needs to understand this pattern before it’s too late. Tolerance in Islam is not a principle. It’s a strategy.

Today we learned that Senator Lindsey Graham has passed away after a sudden illness. He was 71. It’s a sobering reminder that none of us is promised tomorrow. Our times are in His hands. “My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.” — Psalm 31:15 What kind of legacy do we want to leave? Graham and Mitch McConnell were once two of the most powerful figures in American politics—men who helped shape foreign policy, the courts, and the direction of their party for decades. Now both are no longer positioned to influence world events. Life moves quickly. Power fades. Influence passes. God is in control! Let’s pray that God raises up a new generation of men and women leaders after His own heart—leaders marked by wisdom, courage, integrity, and a genuine fear of the Lord. May the Lord comfort Senator Graham’s family, his staff, and all who mourn him today. May Senator Graham rest in peace.
