Thirty student-athletes have been selected as Semi-Finalists for the 2026 McDonald Award to be presented by the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association. The McDonald Award is presented annually to the outstanding Senior Player of the Year. Finalists will be selected and announced early in March.  Finalists will be presented McDonald Award medals and the 2026 award recipient will be announced and presented the McDonald Award in conjunction with the MBCA All Star Series - April 11th at Anoka Ramsey Community College. The McDonald Award is named in honor of Bob McDonald, a legend and icon in Chisholm, the state of Minnesota, and the nation for his accomplishments as a coach and his commitment to educating students.
