The last time Trump threatened the regime like this and gave it an ultimatum was in 2020. Trump said that if the Islamic regime (which was making a lot of noise about taking revenge for Qasem Soleimani) made any move, he would destroy 52 Iranian sites. The number 52 was a direct reference to the 52 American hostages taken during the 1979 attack on the U.S. Embassy in Iran.
In response, Hassan Rouhani, the president of the Islamic terrorist regime of Iran, tweeted: “Those who point to the number 52 should also think about the number 290.” He was referring to Iran Air flight IR655, which the U.S. mistakenly shot down in 1988.
And do you know what they did next? They fired a few missiles at the U.S. Al-Asad base in Iraq, and then deliberately shot down Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752, a civilian plane full of Iranians and children. Why? Because they expected President Trump to retaliate according to his threat, and they wanted to pin the blame on him.
Trump did not attack. He even thanked them for giving advance notice before the Al-Asad strike so the base could be evacuated. Meanwhile, the regime spent three full days claiming the crash of flight PS752 was due to a “technical failure”, as if Rouhani had never posted that tweet.
It was only after Canada presented clear evidence that it was a deliberate attack that the regime was forced to admit what had really happened.
This is the kind of terrorists we Iranians are dealing with. Our enemy is not Israel or Trump. Our enemy is the Muslim terrorist group that has occupied our country and taken our people hostage.
This is not a war. This is a rescue operation.
