I hope I have done justice to honour this amazing woman- brave, strong, talented...and above all, kind and loving. I don’t want anyone to know her via “association” with Partha Kar She was first and foremost Dr. Anannya Kar And I hope this represents her as best as possible. I thank many for the love, kindness, space and empathy shown over the last few months. Life goes on- and responsibilities don’t go away So we take our steps forward Slowly and gently ❤️

@welovedonegal I assume teaching jobs may have been scarce. He came back to Leckamy and taught at Bredagh Glen National School. Grandad, my Dad and his siblings are in this picture. Dad told me they used to be sent ahead to light the fire!

I worried about the bone scan as both my mum & her mum had osteoporosis. It turns out I have osteopenia, which is a pre-cursor to osteoporosis, but with treatment & exercise it might be reversible, so I’m lucky it was picked up due to the cancer treatment 🙏
