@publicaddress Suspect we need to see more evidence of existing cycling infrastructure actually being used before we switch out a lane used by thousands of cars daily for 4 bikes and a runner.

Handing over just one lane of the bridge to all the people who aren't in motor vehicles is a quick, affordable and practical way to benefit Auckland. It's not just about bikes – the amenity value is so much greater than that. Really, just bloody do it. bikeauckland.org.nz/liberate-the-l…

Looking for examples of SUVs and 4x4 ads using connection with nature as a selling point (think off-road, camping etc) - anyone got any links? Could be static, videos, whatever

@Publicwrongs Agree. But also if you're any kind of expert at anything you're seeing this in your field too. I am a civil engineer, and the decaying state of infrastructure is scary. My doctor friends have frightening stories of the health system. Whole country being driven into the ground.

@NicolaWillisMP Is tax cuts your whole policy? What else have you got? How will National start to repair this country from 40 years of underinvestment? Without that, you've got nothing.

This is Labour’s Blowout Budget. A blowout of increased spending, bigger deficits and more debt. Labour is piling fuel on the inflation fire meaning interest rates will stay higher for longer. No tax relief for working Kiwis: just higher prices and bigger mortgage payments.

@cameronwilson Yeah, but that's why everyone under 40 doesn't use Facebook anymore. First my aunt was a prolific poster sharing memes then Zuck cranked the ads. Haven't used since like 2018. It's not a barometer any more.

@antihobbes The extension of this is that the only fair wage is a flat wage. Seems weird, but ok, go off champ.

@bernardchickey @nztreasury @grantrobertson1 If you had political capital to spend along with your financial capital, I'd start with heaps of great infill housing in good areas. Doing massive wetland restoration can assist in flood peak spreading, has good environmental benefits too.

@BoziTatarevic All of my group chats are in WhatsApp or Messenger. This is such a weird reason to choose a phone.
