As we continue celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth, we must acknowledge the woman who set #basketball records & helped her team compete at nationals for the 1st time. #Props to LaVetta Mitchell. She also was in the 1st induction class in our Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018. #mvcyclones

In celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth, we’re giving #props to our longest tenured coach – Delwyn Jones. He’s been a #basketball coach, mentor and positive influence on many students over the years. Plus, he’s won a few awards for his team and himself. #GoCyclones #mvcyclones 🌪️🏀👀

Happy for the players at @MVCCWBB as they get a chance to play actual games. So we've added a couple of bonus games for the month of March against Moraine. However, we are enjoying our planned bye week of no games as we recharge the batteries for the stretch run!

Now it’s official…Cyclone men’s and women’s #basketball has been allowed to start playing games this month. Although these games won’t count in any records, the student-athletes are still able to compete in some kind of abbreviated season. Stay tuned. #GoCyclones #mvcyclones🌪️🏀

Thornwood vs Crete-Monee: Thornwood All-Area guard Nayo Lear and center Jamara LaCaze hosts Crete-Monee All-Area guard Jayda Bowen and forward Jayla Dixon as both teams kickoff their 2021 Southland Conference basketball season tonight in South Holland at 5:00pm.

Lincoln Way-West vs Homewood Flossmoor H-F super sophomore Alyssa Latham and the Lady Vikings host LW-West tonight in an SWS contest. LW-West, led by All-State Sr. guard Tara Gugliuzza, faces a tough battle in their quest to contain the versatile Latham, the SSHoops 2020 DPOY.
