Dr. Klein reflects on her time in boarding school, a place marked by hardship and painful experiences. Yet even in those moments, she found something powerful within herself: a refusal to be broken. A quiet but unwavering truth— you are not going to get the best of me.

During Women’s History Month, we honor the strength, resilience, and voices of Indigenous women like Dr. Ramona Klein (Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa).

The NABS Northwest Healing Center was created to help fill a critical resource gap in the Pacific Northwest for Indian boarding school survivors and descendants. The Center offers Indigenous-led monthly healing circles, with light refreshments provided at each gathering.
