UGANET in the Field! Mbarara — Last week, our team concluded a Legal Aid Camp in Mugarutsya Village, Bubaare Sub-county, bringing justice closer to the community. Joined by the Magistrate from Bwizibwera Magistrate Court, we engaged community members on pressing issues including succession and inheritance, domestic violence, and child marriage and defilement. The Magistrate also encouraged the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in resolving marital, domestic, and customary disputes where appropriate. Earlier in the day, we also conducted a legal aid outreach at Rubindi Health Centre III, ensuring that more people could access legal information, guidance, and support. Every outreach is a step towards empowering communities with the knowledge and services they need to protect their rights and seek justice. #UGANET4SocialJustice

UGANET IN THE FIELD | Adjumani District A successful five-day Girl Shine training in Adjumani District concluded with mentors, UGANET staff, Office of the Prime Minister (@OPMUganda) staff, and @RESCUEorg Girl Shine trainers coming together to celebrate a shared commitment to supporting adolescent girls and young women. Throughout the training, participants strengthened their knowledge and practical skills to effectively deliver the Girl Shine methodology within refugee communities. The experience has prepared mentors and staff to create safer, more supportive spaces where adolescent girls and young women can build resilience, confidence, and life skills. Together, we are investing in stronger communities by empowering those who support the next generation. #UGANET4SocialJustice #GirlShine
