Not since 1928 had one school won a Kentucky high school state championship in boys and girls basketball during the same year.
As @markcstory notes, to put that in perspective, Calvin Coolidge was president at the time.
Also, the Great Depression was yet to occur.

Incredible achievement for Clark County. Wins Kentucky Girls & Boys State High School Basketball Championships in the same year. Calvin Cooledge was US President the last time a Kentucky high school achieved "the double" (Ashland in 1928)
