I've derived benefit from criticism all periods of my life; ..I don't resent criticism; even when, for the sake of its emphasis; it parts company with reality

Man, I love seeing videos like this. A couple of years ago, an old Marine MAJ who served in Vietnam came to EOD School graduation to pin the Basic EOD badge on his grandson. He wore his Charlies (uniform). He walked up to my 1SG and I. We saluted him and handed him the EOD badge to pin on his grandson. He placed it on his grandson’s chest and the absolutely smoked him with a punch to the badge. At EOD graduation, blood pinning is prohibited, but what are you going to say to a 70 year old man? It was awesome. Then his grandson saluted and hugged him. I’ve been to a lot of EOD school graduations and to this day that is the most memorable one.
Massimo@Rainmaker1973

A proud moment as this Marine grandfather gets to give first salute to his now higher ranking granddaughter

“Schizophrenia”—these terrorists in Europe are a master class in how you play people with savior complexes. Aswat will kill again and not due to his schizophrenia. Fools.
Visegrád 24@visegrad24

The Al-Qaeda terrorist and suspected mastermind of the 7/7 bombing in London 2005 in which 52 people were killed and 800 wounded, Haroon Aswat, was released early from psychiatric prison last year “after his schizophrenia improved.” UK judges ruled for his release from psychiatric care, overriding police and security services’ warnings that he was still a massive danger to public security. Aswat was linked via phone contacts with the bombers, had met some of them in Pakistan before the attack and had travelled back to the UK just weeks before the attacks and last the UK on the same morning that the attacks took place. He was arrested in Zambia a few weeks later with bomb-making manuals. The U.S. wanted him extradited for past terrorist offences on their territory but faced legal obstacles from European judges. The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) first blocked his extradition to the USA due to concerns his paranoid schizophrenia would worsen in US prison conditions (breaching human rights against inhuman treatment). After US assurances on care, he was eventually extradited back in 2013. He was sentenced in the USA in October 2015 to 20 years for conspiring to provide material support to al-Qaeda, including helping set up a jihadist training camp in Oregon with Abu Hamza associates. After serving time, he was extradited back to the UK around 2022 and held under the Mental Health Act. Last year, UK judges decided to give him an early release and he is now free in West Yorkshire with just limited monitoring since it was deemed that stricter measures such as being forced to wear an ankle monitor risked worsening his psychiatric status and would be against mental health law provisions.

Yes, the Iron Law of Woke Projection never misses. What they accuse us of, they're likely confessing to.
David Limbaugh@DavidLimbaugh

It seems to me the Groypers and Podcastistaners, in addition to other nefarious things, are engaged in a large-scale psyop and gaslighting operation in which they are trying to falsely demonize the rest of us for the very things they're doing, i.e. abandoning supposedly-held principles, stoking division among conservatives, Republicans and MAGA, undermining true America First principles (unless you define America First as rabid, foolish, nationally destructive isolationism), AND, perhaps most interesting of all -- serving the interests of foreign countries, either collusively or as a matter of warped ideology. They are a collective canker sore on the body politic. For greater insight into these menaces, I recommend you follow @ConceptualJames, who has been extraordinarily prescient, even prophetic, and insightful about this disturbing turn of events. Many others deserve honorable mention as well. Those of us recognizing this sordid operation need to be mindful of its corrosive influence on younger people, many of whom seem to be taken in by the lies, propaganda and indoctrination. While Podcastistan was unsuccessful in the recent election, we mustn't underestimate their potentially subversive impact going forward. Thank you for your rapt attention to this matter.

Why do you call them "new"? The vote total in the primary on Tuesday was right around 105,000 combined. The vote total in the general election in 2024 was 280,000. Yes, more voters turn out for a POTUS year general election. Those voters are there all the time. The real mystery is how Massie received 278,000 votes in the 2024 election, but only 47,500 of those voters came out for him this week when his political life was at stake -- fewer than 1 out of 5.
Mandy Arthur@mandyarthur

Hey @Grok, purely hypothetical, what is the *statistical probability* that 52,000 NEW voters suddenly appear in a primary and vote OVER 90% AGAINST the incumbent? One sentence max.

I met Carrie once. Well, “met” is probably too strong of a word. It was more that I recognized her from a distance getting out of her beautiful Mercedes and heading into KUSI for some news piece around the time of COVID. I remember thinking, wow, she’s really stunning in real life. We later became internet friends, but I eventually had to block her because she was constantly trying to push “Israel is the bad guy” narratives in all of our DMs. I genuinely tried to have conversations with her in good faith, but something in my spirit kept telling me it was bad news and that I needed to block her and move on with my life, so I did. Seeing how fast she’s spiraled into delusion since then is honestly sad. A few lessons learned here, Trust your gut instincts. You can be beautiful, polished, charismatic but a pretty face can only hide an ugly heart for so long. The Holy Spirit always reveals people eventually. Always.

He got 76% against an unfunded primary challenger in 2024, with 39,900 votes cast for him. This week he got 45%, with 47,000 votes cast for him. His unfunded opponent in 2024 received 6,600 votes. Gallerin just received 57,800 votes. 51,200 more KY-4 district Republicans turned out to vote AGAINST Massie in 2026 than 2024. That ain't AIPAC and the Joooze. Only those in a circus side-show act would say it was.
A@ClassicsEducate

@shipwreckedcrew 4% of Massie's donations came from KY. Kentucky voters, they voted. Turns out, they did not want Massie. He needs to go visit MTG, and together STFU.

We have a real problem in Florida, it’s beyond just extremist networks, we’ve literally had both ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorists conducting surveillance in our state in the last 2 years. They don’t just do that as a hobby and it’s not training, the act is what’s called pre-attack indicators, and we are going to need continued leadership that forces these terrorists to choose other targets. We need to keep Florida a hard target. That’s why I’m behind @JayCollinsFL as I want to keep forward progress against this threat. I met with law enforcement and politicians all around this state on the subject including with our governor and members of Congress, did I hear a peep from Byron Donalds or his team, no, as he’s doing zero to protect this state and thinks no one will pay attention to the grift. The ISIS New Orleans bomber Shamsuddin Jabbar, chose between New Orleans and our very own Riverwalk here in Tampa, Florida. He decided doing the attack in Louisiana would be more successful than trying it here. It was a horrible tragedy with so many lives senselessly lost, that could have happened here instead. That impact could have hit our community. Never forget: what we prevent is often even more important than how well we defend. The attacks that never happen, the lives never shattered, and the threats stopped before they unfold rarely make headlines, but that is the real measure of safety and security.
Jason Puwalski@PuwalskiFL

See the latest from our Lt. Governor. @JayCollinsFL isn’t a surface-level politician. He knows the issues. Thankfully, he’s got a lifelong track record of fighting to keep America safe. Read below ⬇️ city-journal.org/article/florid…

Does anyone seriously believe the Iranian Nazi terror regime will adhere to any deal over time?  And if you do, based on what?  They exist to conquer, devour, and destroy. And believe this is commanded by Allah.  By any means.

The evidence is simply beyond dispute. Alex Jones Tucker Carlson Candace Owens Steve Bannon Dave Smith and the list goes on ... add your own names. All have been playing the GOP base and MAGA for suckers and rubes for years. For them it is all about viewers, followers, clicks, and views -- for them it is a money making enterprise at its core and nothing more. They took the model that Andrew Breitbart pioneered and perverted it into an outrage porn enterprise where nothing is too outlandish if it attracts attention. The lowest common denominator always guaranteed to draw attention is to "Blame the Juzzzze." Attention whores and not a serious person among them -- grifters all.
