Brussels, Paris, Berlin…all the same. You won‘t face such issues in Warsaw, Prague, Bucharest or Zagreb, where I spend more time meanwhile. The „New Europe“ is also turning into the better quality of life pitch for people from Western Europe.

Believe it or not, there is only one actor in the world today that truly understands how to confront the DragonBear—and it’s not the United States. Who has navigated all stages of Russia’s hybrid warfare in the past and still possesses the knowledge, tools, and instruments to counter the Communist Party of China on its path to global supremacy? The answer is NATO. Yet, NATO itself has not yet fully realized that it will be at the forefront of addressing the DragonBear, the primary threat multiplier in the unfolding Cold War 2 between the US and this geopolitical alliance. #Velsig

European leaders must be ruthlessly pragmatic about Trump and the shifting US strategy. ✅ Is the US withdrawing from Europe? Yes, and this has been clear for years. Trump is just accelerating the process. The US is prioritizing the Indo-Pacific and domestic interests. Europe must step up its own security and defence. ✅ Will Trump undermine NATO and the EU? Absolutely—he is an anti-globalist who favors bilateral deals over multilateral frameworks. He will pressure European allies on defense spending, trade, and multilateral institutions. But that doesn’t mean Europe is powerless. 👉 NATO members can repair transatlantic ties by significantly increasing defense budgets and energy deals—this is the only leverage to maintain US commitment to European security. 👉 The EU must engage the US pragmatically on trade disputes, the IMEC corridor, and transatlantic tech cooperation amid 4IR instead of waiting for punitive tariffs. 👉 Trump wants to normalize relations with Russia to break the DragonBear (China-Russia axis) and focus on China. Europe should leverage this shift to secure US support for Ukraine while aligning with Washington on countering China as a systemic rival. Europe must stop reacting and start shaping its own destiny. Adapt, engage strategically, and ensure that the US-EU relationship works in Europe’s favor—no matter who sits in the White House.

Any "expert" who claims that Ukraine can not win is dead wrong! Most - if not all global warware experts are not technical experts & have ZERO understanding of frontline reality in 2025! They have NOT been in Ukraine, and have only watched the stories. They also don't understand tech solutions' hyper growth & impact. AI & Drones have so fundamentally changed the battles playbook that comparing this war with Afganistan, Iraq or WW II is just plain stupid. Here are the facts! 1. Ukraine has proved twice how it can rapidly build winning tech. First with destroying most of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. And secondly with deep strikes attack againts oil refineries. 2. New Commander of 🇺🇦 Ground Forces General Mykhailo Drapatyi started fundamental reforms in December that are starting to get results slowly in the next coming months. Key focus is improving recruitment & military training and fast-tracking new technology solutions. Yes, Ukraine has a real manpower problem, but even bigger challenge is training quality! Just a few weeks ago, he approved using virtual reality in training. He also sped up transitions from Brigades to the Corps System - what should improve the management & coordination. The first leaders of the new corps are heavily respected commanders of Ukraine's best combat brigades. 4-5 weeks ago he also took over leadership of the most critical part of the frontline - Pokrovks and has stabilized the situation recently. One key factor here was Ukraine's new special drone battalions help. 3. Ukraine has significantly sped up increasing drone units & unmanned brigades. Successful units have doubled recently- growing from companies to battalion, from battalion to regiments. In December Magyar birds were expanded from regiment to brigade. In January,Ukraine established 2 more separate brigades. As of today Ukraine has trained already 100 000+ drone pilots. And this is the real future army. 4. I met today a Ukrainian soldier who told me that most of the smart weapons systems that are built by NATO countries are already useless in Ukraine. I have heard the same several times - that the most effective systems are now made by Ukraine engineers / factories. So the most critical is that European countries will follow Denmark lead in investing directly to best Ukraine Defence Companies. And help to scale with rapid speed. Helping Ukraine turn this conflict into robots against Orsc is by far the best strategy for real peace talks! Yes - Europe has been freaking slow, but it seems that harsh wake up call have finally delivered message. As soon as those nice words & meetings turn into REAL ACTION - doubling up real help NOW - we can think about real peace next year at the same time!

Právě jsem mluvil s ukrajinským prezidentem Volodymyrem Zelenským. Ujistil jsem ho, že má naši plnou podporu. Velmi dobře víme a nezapomeneme, kdo je v této válce obětí a kdo agresorem. Spolu s dalšími evropskými státy hodláme zintenzivnit naši pomoc Ukrajině v jejím statečném a spravedlivém boji. Boji nejen za ukrajinskou, ale také naši svobodnou a bezpečnou budoucnost.

Dear Europeans, do not despair! But also, do not fall for the latest “wake-up calls” from our European leaders and bureaucrats. They have failed us for two decades in safeguarding our most sacred values—security, stability, and prosperity. Is there a way out? Yes, but it starts with admitting reality as it is. This is the painful moment of truth: •Since February 24, 2022, we have been in Cold War 2.0 between America and the DragonBear (China and Russia). •European leaders ignored the growing strategic coordination between these two powers in all systemically relevant domains since 2013. •Russia would have never launched a full-scale war against Ukraine without China’s comprehensive and long-term support. In fact, Russia launched the war after February 20 because of China‘s Olympics. Now, under Trump 2.0, America will act solely in its national interests. Europe must face this new reality and act accordingly. The Way Forward: 1.Scandinavian and Central & Eastern European (CEE) countries will take the lead in building the missing North-South dual-use infrastructure with the help of EU institutions (this must be the focus of Global Gateway) and the US (bilateral deals). 2.A new Iron Curtain 2.0 will emerge along NATO’s Eastern flank, ensuring security and stability with the American support. 3.Massive opportunities will arise in cybersecurity, digital transformation, and new technologies, benefiting businesses and investors willing to adapt. I publicly criticized Draghi’s vision of “slow agony” for Europe because it ignored voices from Central and Eastern Europe. We cannot afford to passively decline—we must seize this one chance to navigate the geopolitical and geoeconomic crisis ahead. Europe’s future is not in despair, but in decisive action.

We greatly appreciate Latvia's consistent support for Ukraine at 0.25 percent of GDP per year, as well as its clarity of purpose. I was pleased to welcome @Braze_Baiba to Kyiv and congratulate her on her recent appointment as Latvia’s Foreign Minister. I appreciate that she is making her first foreign visit to Ukraine. This is a sign of respect for our country and its defenders. We held meaningful negotiations on military aid to Ukraine and defense cooperation, with a particular emphasis on increasing our joint production of drones. We both agree that Ukraine's victory will ensure the security of the entire Euro-Atlantic community, and we are working together to bring it closer. I am grateful to Latvia for its strong and consistent support for Ukraine, both bilaterally and within the EU and NATO.

I take a taxi to the airport in Washington with a sense of relief. The aid package for Ukraine passed the House of Representatives, where it was blocked for eight months. Most likely, it will be voted on in the Senate on Tuesday, but there will be no problems there. I will remember this unblock tour with a sense of great gratitude to everyone who helped me during these few busy weeks - organizing meetings, hosting dinners with influential people, arranging interviews on TV, conducting my lectures and panel discussions. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You help people in Ukraine to survive! 💙💛
