Introducing USDX — the native dollar of the Nexus economy. A shared settlement layer for all apps, trades, and markets on Nexus. One asset. Unified liquidity. Protocol-native incentives. Capital is converging, and USDX is its native home. Read more: blog.nexus.xyz/introducing-us…

A zkVM proof is an agent-native receipt: cryptographic attestation that a specific computation ran correctly, with specific inputs, producing a specific output. Agent A doesn't need to trust Agent B. It verifies the proof. Directly and in milliseconds. The founders of Stripe recently said that one billion transactions per second is the requirement for the AI economy. The gap between where blockchains are and where they need to be cannot be closed by incremental upgrades. It requires infrastructure designed from the agent-first premise.

Every blockchain built in the last decade made the same assumption: the entity transacting is a human. AI agents don't read confirmations. They don't manage seed phrases. They don't wait 12 seconds for finality... they just execute. Here's why that changes the infrastructure problem entirely:

Most chains were built when trust-minimization was the best available answer. Proof-based verification is the upgrade. Financial execution enshrined at the base layer. Every computation proved.

What this means for agents: An AI agent settling a perpetual position doesn't need a trust relationship with validators. It receives a proof. The proof is verifiable by anyone. Instant, headless, trustless, and scalable to any transaction volume.

There's a wall every developer building onchain hits. Not the smart contract wall. Not the gas wall. The verification wall. Here's what it actually looks like — and why Nexus is built differently:

Every modern financial crisis shares a root cause. Someone trusted a computation they couldn't verify.

The settlement infrastructure problem isn't unique to crypto. TradFi has the same gap: systems that record that a transaction happened versus systems that can prove the computation was correct. The difference matters at scale. Especially when the entity executing isn't a human — it's an algorithm. Nexus is building to make that distinction more obvious.

Most blockchains were designed to record that a transaction happened. Nexus is designed to prove that it ran correctly. That's the architectural difference.
