Can anyone recommend a dead simple, easy to use notetaking app based on markdown files?
Obsidian is far too complicated for me. I'm looking for Apple Notes, but with markdown storage

@TfTHacker @obsdmd I'm new to this. What and where is your Linux container. Is it an online cloud server you're renting from someone like DigitalOcean, Hetzner, or AWS Lightsail?

Today, I set up two @obsdmd vaults using the new Headless Sync feature in a Linux container for agent work.
This is such a nice feature set.

I have been working on Obsidian Reader for a over a year. I didn't want to share it until I felt it was good enough. It's finally there. Consistent formatting for any article. Outline, syntax highlighting, nice footnotes, adjustable typography. Runs locally. Just rules, no AI.

Defuddle now returns Youtube transcripts!
Paste a YouTube link into defuddle.md to get a markdown transcript with timestamps, chapters, and pretty good diarization!

The new features require Obsidian Web Clipper 1.1.0 (available on all browsers except Firefox, still pending approval there)
If you want Claude in Web Clipper you need to set up Interpreter:

all my obsidian notes are now a living, digital garden 🌿🌸
each plant is a notes from a tag: older ones on the trunk, newer ones as leaves. i wanted to create a sense of tending your garden, so scrubbing the timeline lets you watch your notes grow chronologically.

- New share sheet on iOS!
- Copy/pasting from Obsidian to other apps now preserves formatting

Just released an MCP server for NotePlan. Why is it better than pointing Claude at your MD files?
