The Govt are going to effectively ban midwife-assisted home births for a large amount of rural Ireland. Why? There is zero evidence to suggest home births are not safe. "The Minister is perpetuating the misconception that home births are not safe", says @HollyCairnsTD

@SocDems @HollyCairnsTD Home births are safe. And perfectly normal. My partner and I had two home births, in 1995 and 2000, in remote west Kerry.

The most important thing about this amazing Paris transformation is how fast it happened — how fast people on bikes “appeared” — once streets were transformed. You can’t write this off as “Paris was always this way,” because it wasn’t. It took leadership.
