A new potential blockade breaker has emerged in the Strait of Hormuz.
An elderly, Comoros-flagged bulk carrier (built in 1995) has appeared in the Strait after being dark since the start of the war on February 28. Its last traceable port call was Bandar Imam Khomeini (BIK), Iran, and its recent history includes transporting grain from Russia-occupied Ukrainian ports to Iran and Syria.
Despite the current blockade, this vessel is back on the grid and navigating this high-stakes corridor.
