Schools are negotiating with sponsors to give them more marketing assets in exchange for dollars funneled directly to athletes through their MMR partners. If the owner of Chicken Company which is a third-party brand sponsor can funnel marketing money through the MMR partner, then why can’t a collective which at some schools are “third-party brand sponsors” not do the same?
