@WajahatAli Trump's already made it clear to Congress that he's the sole arbiter of their decisions. They operate at his discretion. Mike Johnson has made no effort to dispel this notion. None. at. all. Supreme Court apparently same. No Separation of Powers in the real near future.

@WajahatAli Trump will be issuing loads of Executive Orders and they will get bogged down in the courts. For how long though that is the question and why Biden before he goes makes sure Judges in certain districts are appointed to insure that happens.

Congresspeople and senators who want to hold on to lucrative positions that are setting them and their families up for life and for generations to come. Regardless of which side of the aisle they sit upon, they have to answer to the voters from their states. Those voters will not be overly tolerant of cuts to Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, their public schools, the further rise of the cost of living, of groceries and other goods...
