Labrador Island Link testing will resume this morning. There is always a possibility of customer impact when testing. If there is a power interruption, we are prepared and have supply available to restore customers quickly (typically under 30 minutes). The 900MW LIL tests previously scheduled for earlier this month will now take place on March 25 & 26. The timing of the tests may change due to weather and system conditions. There is always a possibility of customer impact. If there is an outage, we are prepared and have supply available to restore customers quickly (under 30 mins). Update: Power has been restored for customers in Sally's Cove, Cow Head and St. Paul's.  Customers in Rocky Harbour and Norris Point are still without power. Crews are working to remove a tree from the line in that area. Estimated restoration is 11:00.

We’re aware of an outage to approximately 400 customers in Fogo. Very high winds last night resulted in damage to a power line. Crews are on site but we don’t have an estimated restoration time yet. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Hydro Pausing High-Power Testing of the Labrador Island Link The planned high‑power testing of the Labrador Island Link (LIL) scheduled for today has been postponed. Based on current weather forecasts, the test is unlikely to proceed on Thursday, March 12, 2026. During the pre-testing, an issue arose that requires additional time to investigate. This decision is precautionary, and there are no issues with the Labrador Island Link or system reliability. A new date will be scheduled asap and updates will be provided. Thank you for your patience.
