A week is a long time 😞😞 With so much killing and bloodshed I will be going to church later this morning to pray for every life to be protected and valued. Some only see violence and rage. May God touch their hearts and bring healing. War and conflict is never the solution.

Hospitals and patients in Gaza are facing catastrophe. I appeal for the evacuation order on hospitals in northern Gaza to be reversed - and for health facilities, health workers, patients and civilians to be protected.

I continue to follow with great sorrow what is happening in Israel and Palestine. I renew my appeal for the freeing of the hostages and I strongly ask that children, the sick, the elderly, women, and all civilians not be made victims of the conflict.

We may be witnessing the total obliteration of Gaza. Political leaders refusing to speak out should feel eternal shame over the horror they are allowing to unfold. Those of us who believe in peace cannot stay silent. We must say to the Palestinian people: you are not alone.

“Beware when fighting monsters, that you do not become a monster.” Jewish people have been victims of horrific violence for centuries. Palestinians have endured terror from Israel for decades. But, none of this justifies the violence of Hamas nor a war on innocent people in Gaza.
