North Level IDB

…..and after all our efforts this has been dumped at the exact same spot within 6 hours!!!!!

Another day. Another load of fly tipping at Willow Hall, Peterborough. This is one of two dumps of household waste within site of each other. Grateful for the assistance from local landowners too.

Piling operations to repair damaged banks currently being undertaken before water levels are lifted to ‘summer levels’.

A new drainage channel created and adopted by the North Level at the West Side Marshes, Wisbech.

Well that’s a job very well done!!! Instillation of a twin penstock structure that will give the ability to divert water from one catchment to another during high water level events or in the event of a catastrophic failure of a pumping stations. #resilience

Good progress on our penstock structure this week with both sluice doors fitted and reinstatement on either side now commencing.

@Northlevelidb Hi, there is a child's plastic Wendy house floating on the main drain between the black dike bridge and the church Lane Bridge.

@cjd55yorkie Yes. This drain is in an area that has, until now, not benefited from an IDB drain in close proximity. This project will allow for more effective drainage in the West Side Marshes.

@Northlevelidb Top level ditching . Interesting that there's no obvious drainage system in place. Is the new ditch being dug to facilitate one? Whereabouts is that?
