Thank you to @ThatsTVCumbria for the opportunity to take part in an interview recognising Village Halls Week. I was pleased to be invited by ACTion with Communities in Cumbria to present at their recent event, where I highlighted the vital importance of CPR awareness and defibrillator use. Rural village halls play a crucial role in the chain of survival, often serving as accessible community hubs in emergencies. It was a privilege to contribute and support such an important initiative, thank you for having me.

We would like to offer our thanks to our emergency services and local authority colleagues who have supported and continue to support the ongoing operation, as the building remains unsafe.

🚨 King Street, Oldham - Update: We can confirm that NWAS has now left the scene, in agreement with our multiagency partners. Two of the five casualties have required hospital treatment, and we wish them a full and quick recovery.

Five patients have been assessed so far, with two already taken to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. We will publish any further updates here.

Following an emergency call at 12.30, multiple resources have attended the scene, including our Hazardous Area Response Team, Air Ambulance, doctors, advanced clinicians and operational commanders.

🚨 We are currently responding to a partially collapsed building on King Street, Oldham.
