I read a Labour MP complaining that many migrant children currently live in poverty... That is dreadful, and nobody wants to see it. But it's not our problem, and we should have the courage to say so. British children live in poverty. That is our problem. They are our problem. Restore Britain's policy is firm, but fair. If a foreign national is unable to support themselves and their family financially, we would ask them to return home where their own governments can provide them with assistance. If they refuse, they will be made to leave. Deported. We are not the world's food bank. It is not our responsibility to house, feed and care for Somalian families, Albanian families, Pakistani families - it's just not. Those social houses, those benefits. All of that will be reserved for British families. And we make no apologies for saying so. A political party that will put British families and British children first, each and every time. Right. Some good news. Restore Britain now has local branches established across over 100 parliamentary constituencies. In less than four weeks since launch. Incredible progress. Local meetings have already taken place, and more invitations are being sent every day. Keep an eye on your email for an invite - we are rapidly building out our infrastructure. To those who have applied to lead locally, hundreds have already been through our vetting and interview process. Dozens more do so each day. If you haven't heard yet, you will soon. We are British. We are gentlemen and ladies. We say please and thank you. We hold the door open for the person behind us. We say thank you when somebody shows us a courtesy or a kindness. We can be trusted at an “Honesty Box” where our neighbour might be selling their eggs, veg, or honey. Our society was perfect until we allowed unfettered immigration from 3rd-World, low-trust societies. Suddenly, all of the above becomes meaningless. But it still means something to me. Manners. Kindness. Respect. Fairness. This is the Britain I know.
