@ofctimallen Tim, if you want an explanation of why a government SHOULD run deficits, I’m happy to provide it for you, using accounting. I’m a Professor of Economics, but a critic of the mainstream which argues, like you here, that governments should run balanced budgets. They shouldn’t.

What is so frightening about a path to getting our country out of debt. It’s a balanced budget! Stop this country spending more than it has. Neither party shows any leadership or vision or courage to make the dollar the standard and showing fiscal leadership.
