📣We're delighted to announce Scott Davies first signing as Shots manager, 25-year-old John Gilbert🔴🔵 The central midfielder joins the Shots pending the end of his contract from Maidstone United🤝 John had a successful 25/26 season at Maidstone United, featuring 42 times and scoring 10 league goals and assisting 3. John, under the management of Scott, already once before at Slough Town, the all-action midfielder successfully stepped up to the National League South, making 46 appearances in all competitions and scoring nine goals. Known as the Duracell Bunny, the energetic midfielder looks to continue his rich run of scoring form over the past 2 seasons. Scott Davies said, "I’m delighted to get Gilbs on board with us. He’s someone who has played for me previously, and knowing the way he plays, I know he will be a fan's favourite. He’s full of energy, has an eye for goal, but also brings a real tenacity in how he plays". It's now been confimed that Shots player Jed Meerholz has suffered a full ACL rupture at the end of the season. The football club and our ATFC Supporters Club would like to support Jed as best as possible to assist with the rehabilitation costs. We're right behind you Jed!

They say never fall in love with a loan player...or players... Sam Inwood featured 23 times for the Shots! Charlie Warren featured 23 times for the Shots, scoring 7 goals! Christy Grogan featured 16 times for the Shots before being recalled! Callum Stewart featured 10 times for the Shots, scoring 1 and assisting 1! Sean Patton featured 6 times for the Shots, and in that brief stint, scored 5 and assisted 1 goal! Every single one played their part this season, and we'd like to wish each one all the very best in their bright future careers!

The club can confirm that Cameron Hargreaves, Keane Anderson, and Ryheem Sheckleford will depart the club at the end of their contracts. The club would like to thank Cam, Keane, and Ryheem for their efforts, professionalism, and dedication to this football club during their time here, both Cam and Keane serving a number of years at Aldershot, and Ryheem joining us this season. Cameron Hargreaves joined the club in June 2024 and recently went onto join the 100 club here at Aldershot Town! Keane Anderson, an Aldershot Town Academy graduate joining the first-team squad in May 2022, was our longest-serving first-team player this season. Join us in thanking them for their services, and we wish them both all the very best moving forward with their careers!

In addition to yesterday's appointment, we are delighted to also announce Mark Jones as the club's assistant manager. Having agreed to join as Scott Davies' number two ahead of the 2026-27 season, 'Jonah' arrives boasting an impressive CV in both first-team and youth management, including permanent spells as head coach at Oxford City, Hemel Hempstead and Banbury United. Welcome, Jonah! ❤️💙

A real privilege to return as manager to the place where I fell in love with the game as a baby faced 19 year old in an XL shirt. Nobody said it’s gonna be easy but it’ll be fun to watch. Hard work has already started. Some exciting lads onboard. Let’s go ❤️💙 @OfficialShots
