GTA gangs and U.S. guns are pushing into smaller Ontario communities and across Canada. ONGIA President Andrew Hammond warns youth are being recruited and drawn into violence. Smaller towns are being targeted - prevention, awareness, and strong partnerships are essential.

Nearly 300 kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of $29M seized following a five-month intelligence-led investigation into high-level drug trafficking activity. Five people face numerous criminal charges. Initiated by members of the #OPP Provincial Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team (PGNG) in September 2024, Project Shearwater focused on a cocaine trafficking network spanning throughout the #GTA.
