It was an honor and pleasure to work on this article with the incredible @intifada team. This article includes novel findings that I am very excited to be able to share with the Electronic Intifada readership. This includes the fact that the earliest known instance of a version of the myth that "Israel created Hamas"--albeit, since Hamas had not yet formed, the claim was that "Israel created the Islamic Movement--was propagated by Mohammad Dahlan during a courtyard debate at the Islamic University of Gaza with Yahya al-Sinwar in 1983. This is hitherto the article that I worked most arduously on, poring over extant witness accounts to provide the a comprehensive historical analysis.
