#Hwy401 WB at Brock St in #Whitby is closed following a collision involving a transport truck with a ruptured diesel tank. Cleanup efforts are currently underway. Motorists can re-enter the highway using the Brock St westbound on-ramp. #WhitbyOPP ^tk

#WhitbyOPP members conducted speed enforcement on #Hwy401 at Henry St. in #Whitby An officer positioned on the bridge used a speed measuring device, relaying information to officers below. In just 1.5 hours, 15 speeding tickets were issued. #SlowDown #RoadSafety #DriveSafe ^tk

Fatal collision: #Hwy8 closed between Safari and Studiman Rd. Two vehicle head-on collision. Two occupants in first vehicle, adult passanger deceased. Five occupants in second vehicle. Update #2: Estimated reopening time is approximately 4-5pm. The 32 year old male driver from Brampton has been charged with Careless Driving. ^rt

Update: The truck was transporting bales of recycled material. Part of the cleanup will involve retrieving some of the bales that were ejected and rolled a significant distance off the roadway. ^rt

#BurlingtonOPP are on the scene of a single vehicle collision with a tractor trailer on it's side on the ramp from westbound #Hwy403 to #Hwy6 southbound in Ancaster. The ramp will be closed for an estimated 2-3 hours for cleanup. Driver is being assessed for minor injuries. ^rt

Driver Arrested and Facing Multiple Charges After Driving Wrong Way on QEW to Flee a Collision Scene: ▪️On Wed Mar 18 at 7:13 p.m. #BurlingtonOPP responded to reports of a grey sedan driving the wrong way in the Fort Erie bound lanes of the #QEW near Third Line in Oakville. ▪️The sedan, originally driving the correct direction, was in a collision with a tractor trailer near Third Line, leaving its bumper and licence plate at the scene. ▪️The sedan then drove in the wrong direction on the shoulder for approximately 2 km before exiting at Kerr St. ▪️The vehicle was located in a parking lot near Dorval Dr and Kerr St in Oakville. ▪️The 26-year-old Male driver from Burlington was subsequently located, arrested and charged with: ◾️Operation While Impaired ◾️Operation While Impaired - 80 Plus ◾️Dangerous Operation ◾️Fail to Stop After Accident ◾️Owner Operate a Vehicle Without Insurance ▪️Luckily there were no injuries as a result of this irresponsible behaviour. The driver was released on an Undertaking to attend court on May 4 in Milton. ^rt

Suspended G1 driver arrested by #HETOPP on Lincoln M Alexander Parkway Hamilton. #ALPR alerted officer to issue with the owner of the vehicle. Driver charged and vehicle towed. ^ks
