The sooner we stop seeing “APC” as a political party, and start seeing them as a criminal syndicate (which they are), the better for us.

I saw some discussions about the society decaying and how Christians shouldn’t be engaging with the trending gist because “how did we get to the point where a wife cheating is being celebrated?” I hope that discussion about “how did we get here?” can start from the church. The Bible frowns at adultery, fornication and covetousness, but we have refused to hold men who are the most excused for adultery accountable. Instead, wives are told to confess righteousness over cheating husbands, raise altars so they stop cheating, endure humiliation. When people called to lead normalise cheating as something inherently in men, why are we surprised when the followers walk in their shoes?

Unrelated, but I’m so grateful to God to be part of this generation of women. Even though we disagree and block each other online 😭, when it comes to marriage, we mostly agree on one thing: we are not slaves to marriage, and our lives do not revolve around it. Many women in older generations were shaped by deeply ingrained patriarchal beliefs, but I love that my generation is challenging and unlearning that. Cheers to younger women supporting each other!
