@OSUET1 This is exactly the move. I run a similar concentrated book 10 positions, heaviest weight in the ones tied to the September FTSE thesis. Diversification felt safe until I saw what focus does to returns. Conviction over collection.

@OSUET1 @iambaashh Thank you for building stockyvest. I went through it and I like it. I love the liquidity tabs and the Fin Health grade. I will be glad if you can add a Shari'ah compliant tab and would be glad to join the team for advisory. Thank you.

That’s some people. If you check what I said, i mentioned that it’s easier to predict our market. I actually made money from Conoil. Some people bought Zichis at N38. You have to know what you are doing. But in the American market, it’s a lot more than that. And I’m using the same time frame that I have for both. That is since 2024. Totally anecdotal. But more people I speak to that are involved in both say nearly the same thing.

Making money in Nigeria right now is an absolute sport. Take Champion Breweries Plc’s FY 2025 results for example: • Revenue: Up 43% to ₦20.80B • Net Profit (PAT): ₦0.79B A massive ₦20B+ top line, yet less than ₦800M makes it to the bottom line. That gap tells the real story of the FMCG sector. Investors see soaring revenue and assume everything is fine, but the operating environment is aggressively squeezing margins. Companies are actively battling: • High borrowing costs (interest rates are punishing) • FX scarcity for raw material imports • Skyrocketing energy, packaging, and logistics costs • Inflation eating deeply into input expenses Top-line growth means little when the macroeconomic environment is constantly eating into profitability. Nigeria is a massive market, but the cost of doing business here is no joke.

@MekaOjukwu That’s why I love Naija market. You can get away with that. Try it with American market, you will see companies that will murder your money and use it to do reverse stock split. And little by little or in some cases, big by big, your capital will ERODE!

It takes only N920,000 to move one NGX stock. It takes over N1.1 billion to move another one. Same exchange. Same rules. Completely different price. Most retail investors have never heard of the mechanic that explains this gap, and it is costing them every time they read a price chart wrong. This thread explains it from the beginning.

The NGX is not a random market. It is a structured one with rules that determine exactly how prices move, who can move them, and how much capital it takes to do so. Penny stocks move on retail money. Blue chips move on institutional decisions. Knowing which tier your capital belongs in is not a small thing. It changes every trade you make. Everything in this thread and the full framework for reading NGX market structure are inside The Naija Investor. Link in bio. Repost this for every Nigerian investor still wondering why some stocks run and others never move.

It’s fair to say that the Dangote IPO isn’t a cabal or HNIs thingy after all if POS and Fintech can also have it live. This is a great win for retail investors. #NGX
