When Borrowing is Leprosy and cancerous. Mr. President, borrowing is not only a leprosy, but a killer cancer when it is borrowed for consumption and not production as it is in Nigeria today. Borrowing for consumption slowly eats away at the health, reputation, and autonomy of a nation. One of the major “leprosy” afflicting Nigeria today is not just debt, but debt without productivity. Debt that is not tied to measurable economic value. Debt that does not translate into jobs, growth, or improved living standards for the Nigerian people. No serious economy borrows recklessly. Nations borrow with discipline, with purpose, and with a clear plan for repayment through productive investment. Fiscal Responsibility Act 2007 provides that “Any government in the Federation or its agencies and corporations desirous of borrowing shall, specify the purpose for which the borrowing is intended and present a cost-benefit analysis, detailing the economic and social benefits of the purpose to which the intended borrowing is to be applied” Cost-benefit analysis must show how the loan would be applied, how it will impact economic growth and improve the welfare of Nigerian citizens in measurable ways. Most of the borrowings by this government do not satisfy the requirements of law or the requirements of economic common sense. The humongous borrowing so far does not show how the projects for the loans enhance the productive capacity of the nation and the welfare of Nigerian citizens. These loans are also dangerous because they burden the capacity of the Nigerian state to improve the economy in the future, as we have one of the world’s highest debt servicing ratios. What matters is not debt-GDP as much as debt-debt servicing ratio because the latter constrains our capacity to finance the sectors that drive human development and economic growth. If the money is wrongly spent as we do in Nigeria currently, it becomes double jeopardy because you are using current revenue to service debts that did not add to revenue or improve capacity for more production in the future. A responsible government does not merely defend borrowing; it explains it, justifies it, and most importantly, ensures it works for the people. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Nigerian police raided avenues and spots on Sunday in Abuja where sex workers usually gather, packed them into a van, and took them to the station where they allegedly took turns raping them. Whenever you see sex workers running when men in uniform approach, their reason for running is worse than you might think. The Nigerian police are bottom of the barrel.

Then at UBA a colleague in sales got married to a lady in operations. No drama from HR. Nobody was asked to resign. Nobody lost their job. The only decision management made was simple. The husband was transferred to another branch within the same city. I respected that. If you understand how banking works, especially in operations, people spend almost their entire day at work. It is the same faces, the same pressure, the same environment, every single day. It is only natural that people will form real connections in that space. So when marriage happens banks should not force one person to resign. I have seen many women bankers in their early to mid-thirties who are not married. Not because they do not want to be, but because work takes most of their time and energy. There is little room to meet people outside that environment. In many cases, they end up marrying customers or people they meet through work. It is not easy to find love outside work.

Student area, but the community has not seen light in more than 5 years Student area, but we have to pay separately to get water pumped and extra money for it to be pumped to our rooms Student area, but a bag of water is 600/700 in some places Student area but 5k cannot feed you properly for more than a day Student area but there is only one hostel in the whole campus Student area but students are either using solar or generator and those that have neither are left to suffer Student area but despite all these, the school management has decided to increase our school fees and rumors have it that it would be almost or more than a 200k increase Student area but lodges that we are forced to get because of the lack of hostels are now increasing fees by a whole 100k while still not handling the water and light situation Student area but 500naira tomatoes won't be enough to cook stew. Student area but transport to school is nothing less than 500 naira Student area but the school is asking us to pay 15k for an app Student area but our SUG are just pawns placed by the management so they cannot speak for us Student area but everything is now double or triple the price We are tired When did going to school and getting educated become this expensive in a government owned school?

“No slim person is wishing they were FAT” but people are selling weight gain products all over social media People will be suggesting weight gain products to you from time to time Fat and slim people go through body shame and no one is lesser or invalidates the others pls
Kori 👁️👄👁️@TheSketchyKori

Body shaming is bad. But in all the conversations around it, at least no slim person is wishing they were FAT. That still makes it the standard. The issue is here is "curves". Because someone who is slim with wide hips wouldn't face the issue of being called "straight" or flat

What is it about people like you and slavery? Don’t any of you want to be free and have governance free of opportunism? It’s sad to see you revel in your chains. The fact that a businessman with interests in a state’s resources is accompanying a governorship aspirant to pick up a nomination form for elections should be where you begin to ask tough questions about the candidate’s suitability and independence of mind.

First of all, why would you tie a human being like that? Secondly, why were all those people just watching? Thirdly, who was that clown helping him with gun and bullet? The policeman had all the time to rethink his action. The guy pleaded for long. The gun failed. Yet, he was determined to kill him, even in public. We have become the wild. This is animal behaviour
