We continue to call for pressure on: - Football associations to join calls to exclude genocidal Israel from FIFA - Players & teams to refuse to play against Israel - Players unions to pass motions calling to exclude Israel from FIFA And for fans to peacefully disrupt matches.

This despite near global consensus that Israeli settlements are illegal. Instead, corrupt FIFA considers them “an unresolved & highly complex matter.” AFTER YEARS OF SHIELDING APARTHEID ISRAEL, IT IS ONLY DUE TO GROWING GLOBAL PRESSURE THAT CORRUPT FIFA HAS TAKEN *ANY* MEASURES.

Corrupt FIFA has given the Israel Football Association a mere slap on the wrist, fining it $190,000 for its rampant anti-Palestinian racism, while also decided it would not take any action against the IFA over its teams in illegal Israeli settlements on stolen Palestinian land.

In the might-makes-right era, we cannot allow, or afford for international law to be hijacked by those working to destroy it. We urge the academic community to work to end ties with Israeli entities complicit in Israel’s Gaza genocide and colonial oppression of all Palestinians.

Genocidal Israel’s latest panic over the academic boycott is yet another indication that it is having a profound impact. In the first half of 2025 approval rates for projects in the EU’s Horizon research program including at least one complicit Israeli entity dropped by 68.5%.

Genocidal Israel is offering research grants to understand the reasons behind the tremendous growth of the academic boycott. Spoiler alert: It’s Israel’s regime of genocide, apartheid, and military occupation against Indigenous Palestinians.
