The book "Artsakh" was published in Baku in 1895 in the Armenian language — a remarkable testament to the enduring Armenian presence and scholarship in the region. Its author, Bishop Makar Barkhudaryants, was born in 1823 in the Armenian village of Khantsakh in Artsakh. A historian, clergyman, and geographer, Barkhudaryants devoted his life to preserving the spiritual, cultural, and historical heritage of his homeland. The village of Khantsakh, his birthplace, was first mentioned by Arakel Davrijetsi in the 1630s and was founded by the Haykazyan princes in 1537. Through his monumental work Artsakh, Barkhudaryants recorded the life, traditions, and resilience of the Armenian people in their ancestral land. For thousands of years, Artsakh was home to its native Armenian population — a cradle of faith, culture, and continuity. In 2023, following the ethnic cleansing carried out by Azerbaijan, there are no longer any ethnic Armenians living in Artsakh. This marks the first time in recorded history that the region has been emptied of its indigenous Armenian people, ending a presence that lasted for millennia.

Armenian opposition leader and prime ministerial candidate for the “Strong Armenia” party, Samvel Karapetyan, sharply criticized Nikol Pashinyan in a public video address released in May, accusing him of advancing Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s agenda and warning against what he described as deceptive “peace” narratives ahead of Armenia’s elections. “Pashinyan is currently carrying out Aliyev’s dream, he is making space for the settlement of 300,000 Azerbaijanis, and over the next five years he will implement Aliyev’s ‘Western Azerbaijan’ idea,” Karapetyan stated. He argued that the Armenian public should not be “deceived by the word peace,” claiming that “the word peace has nothing to do with Pashinyan.” Karapetyan also accused the current government of bringing instability and war to Armenia. “In Armenia, wars and deaths are brought only by Pashinyan and his government. He has brought them and continues to bring them,” he said, adding that Armenia could only become stronger after a change in government. The remarks come amid heightened political tensions and ongoing debate in Armenia surrounding the government’s negotiations with Azerbaijan, the future of regional peace efforts, and discussions related to the “Western Azerbaijan” narrative promoted by Baku. #ArmVote26

Pashinyan openly defended the possible surrender of additional Armenian territories to Azerbaijan during a campaign event, declaring that “the conflict is over” while Azerbaijani forces continue occupying more than 200 sq. km of sovereign Armenian territory. The remarks came after a voter asked which areas Armenia could ultimately lose following earlier statements by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan regarding Azerbaijani enclaves inside Armenia. Instead of rejecting the prospect of further concessions, Pashinyan directly referred to the so called Azerbaijani enclaves of Barkhudarli and Kheyrimli and stated that “solutions” would be found through the ongoing border delimitation process with Baku. Pashinyan also attempted to downplay the issue by claiming that terms such as “occupation” now belong “to the past,” despite the continued Azerbaijani military presence inside Armenia and Baku’s repeated refusal to fully recognize Armenia’s territorial integrity. When confronted over Azerbaijan’s ongoing rhetoric about “Western Azerbaijan” and its refusal to withdraw troops from occupied Armenian territory, Pashinyan dismissed the concerns and instead blamed the Armenian opposition for raising the issue. The statements are expected to fuel further accusations that Pashinyan is preparing new territorial concessions under the guise of “delimitation,” after already surrendering territories in Tavush in 2024 as part of his government’s border agreement with Azerbaijan. Critics argue that the process has produced unilateral concessions while Azerbaijani troops continue to remain inside Armenia proper. #ArmVote26

Je le pense sincèrement, ce vide diplomatique est une illustration du peu de considération que l'administration Trump accorde au reste du monde, au-delà de la Chine, de la Russie et des pays du continent Américain. C'est aussi le signe du manque de culture internationale du Président lui-même.

We need to do everything possible to sabotage and bury the NATO "TRIPP", also known as the "Zangezur Corridor" or "Trump Route" project.
