Some pictures from yesterday! Anna made a beautiful melon cake to celebrate Carissa’s birthday. A group from Indigenous Services Canada came to help out. While here, Neighbours also spoke to the ISC team about what real solutions to food insecurity look like.

In our most recent survey we asked our Neighbours for feedback on our space and programming. Working together to meet the needs of our community is the only way to make impactful change. Here is some of that feedback:

Food security and food justice are at the heart of our work at Parkdale Food Centre. We strive to honour the peoples and the land of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation, and commit to listening, learning and taking action against policies inhibiting Indigenous food sovereignty.

Episode One of At Home With Anna! An online bi-weekly workshop supporting a community of people cooking at home together 🍽️ On this day we bonded over how we all have difficulty cooking rice, any tips?

Looking for workshop ideas? Come to Parkdale Food Centre! Our workshops combine conversations about community issues, big ideas for tackling them and always contain a fun hands-on opportunity. All workshops are customizable to topics the youth you engage with are interested in!
