This particular point is what has me deleting the app from my phone and gradually weaning myself off it (I have a personality type which can border on obsessive at times, so cold turkey isn't for me). x.com/jimrobottom/st…

Aren’t we all? But that isn’t worth, for me, a micro role propping up a genuinely malevolent global figure. I can’t think of any facet of life where I’d do something similar. Imagine if a murdoch publication published patriotic alternative.

E is for eating. She honestly never stopped. Whether it was her "bot" (milk), sweet, savoury, hers, most definitely not hers, if it was there, she would eat it. She was by far the easiest to please food wise. Obviously a big fan of an advent calendar too. ❤️🎄 #GriefAwarenessWeek

For her funeral, I did an 'A to Z' of stories about Isabelle as F loves the alphabet and numbers - and I needed a structure or I'd have kept everyone there all day! So I'm going to share some of those here for the next month. In celebration of you, our beautiful girl.

D is for "do it myself". She was so fiercely independent. It was one of her earliest sentences 🤣 she would fume if you tried to take over, and make you wait until the task was done to her satisfaction before you could move on. #grief #childloss

And c is also for cows. One day, we took a wrong turn on the way to soft play and passed several fields. She decided to shout "COWS, COWS, I SEE COWS & then "BYE COWS" every time we saw one. I can report there were about 10 million cows for every square metre 🫠 #grief #childloss

B is for ball.Isabelle absolutely loved balls-even as a young baby, she would always gravitate towards them. One of my favourite videos is this one where she was kicking the ball around our new garden but stopping to take a bite of her jammy dodger. Priorities! #grief #childloss

Of course, now we are having to manage the run up without both of our precious babies, I woke up today a bit bewildered. But as she was always so sunny, silly and happy, I want to use the next 26 days until Alexander's anniversary on Boxing Day to celebrate her life.

@criminographer I've thought so often of that wonderful gift you gave her (amongst many others, of course): what an adventure you had together x

I took Isabelle on an adventure to Australia last year in honour of our boy. I promised Alexander when he died that I'd stop making excuses when I wanted or needed to do something, and so off we went. Today, we go on another mini adventure for Isabelle x. #grief #childloss

Thank you @NikkiJSpeed for sharing our story today at the #acdrp conference. Why is it important for families to be offered full genome sequencing after an unexplained death? We were able to fill her life with as much joy as possible. Like this garden we shared a perfect summer in.

I'm not planning on closing Twitter yet, but I have set up a Bluesky so I can keep up with the amazing people (understandably) leaving. Please give me a shout if you are there and I'll follow you back. 🦋 criminographer.bsky.social

“Is it just the 3 of you?” Such a practical, innocent question, but it cuts like a knife. As the waiter clears away the fourth place setting, I want to cry. So many empty places at tables. Thinking of all our lost children. Jess 💙 #childloss #nevertooyoung #grief

Finding some joy in the autumn leaves. We visited the cemetery so I could talk to him about the stone being removed and when it's back it'll include Isabelle. He's recently been telling us she's still in the mortuary so I wanted to gently encourage a chat about it. He's our hero x

The day that Isabelle got Alexander's train out to play. I knew they would be connected somehow, even though they never met. He knew she was coming and that she was a girl. Now I hope she's playing with him, too. #grief #childloss

F should have the chance to choose new costumes with you both. We should be excitedly planning which parties to go to, and what Halloween treats to buy. He misses his best friends so much. You both brought him such joy in similar and different ways. This week is so hard. ❤️💙

I've got a really difficult meeting today about what happened that night, my darling. Trying to channel this memory of you last year, refusing to get off my clean washing until I had given you a foot massage. You had your priorities all in order. I miss you. Xx

I was once told that grief should be private. It was really terrible advice for us. F gets a lot of comfort from talking openly about how he's feeling in grief. Please know that bereaved parents think long & hard about what and how and why they put their experiences out there. X

To the person who just posted on the fundraiser to say that you are teaching your Biology students, many of whom are future medics, about Isabelle and Alexander and PPA2 mutation, you have no idea how much that means to me 💙💙

It's been one month since you left, my darling. They have taken the stone away so we can add your name and design to your beloved big brother's. You never met, but he knew he was having a sister. I hope you've found each other. F misses you so much, and so do we. #grief #childloss

It's been a heavy weekend. But an absolute banger came on in the swimming changing room yesterday, so F & I danced. It reminded me of their spontaneous dancing at the end of the fundraising walk.I promise to be as silly as possible, as often as possible Isabelle x #dailyjoy #grief

This is a typically selfless post by Emily, who has shared for those who might be going through similar. Freddie is a gentle warrior, and the best big and little brother I'm sure anyone could hope for. x.com/criminographer…

So many of you have kindly asked about F. Isabelle just loved to be with him, and we spent equal time listening to the bickering and the giggling. He is missing his best friend & beloved sister so much, but he is coping remarkably well. I wish I could take away the pain for him.
