I don’t think Disney/Universal has been able to top Spider-Man in the “let’s move you from room to room to watch a big screen for 15+ seconds genre” which admittedly is my least favorite genre in the “E-ticket” bucket. I do think Mickey & Minnie did an admirable evolution on it.

Instead of implementing this to pump F&B in the evening, @UniversalORL should let Epic Universe day guests enter the park the night before at 6pm. Guests get a head start, don’t feel need to bum rush the park in the AM. This would raise guest scores & raise in park spend IMO.

I don’t think there is enough for people to do in celestial park for this to become anywhere near as crowded as DS or City Walk. If universal was going to test this they could start with resort Guests only. I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle and guest confusion this will cause.

@StarportStrdust I would only like this if instead of opening it to the public, they opened it to just Annual Passholders so we can eat the food. otherwise, I completely agree. I don’t want CP as busy as City Walk and Disney Springs are.

This happened at Disneyland when Thomas Mazloum was President and now that he’s in charge of Parks, Experiences and Products for Disney I knew he’d start making similar horrible changes to WDW. Just wait until they get rid of early entry and start cutting hours at quick service restaurants.

Alternate idea to fill the restaurants is to offer a one time Express Pass good for any attraction and then eventually premium viewing for whatever nighttime show they cook up.

@StarportStrdust This was the plan from the very beginning, however there is not a critical mass of things to do for people to really go through the hassle of parking, walking and getting into the park. They’d walk around, maybe grab a drink or two then leave.

Am I the only one that thinks the open hub concept is a bad idea? It would jam the pathways full of free visitors and also give them access to aspects of the EU experience that many are paying hundreds for. They would have to decrease ticket prices to be fair to both park guests

This is my most controversial take…. There is nobody on a once and a lifetime 10k vacation who can’t afford Lightning Lane, it’s a psychological barrier where people do not value their time. The LL’s cost at DAK and in general are a rounding error on a multi day vacation.

Agreed 💯. A few years back I rope dropped AK w my kids just for kicks … the couple behind us looked wiped I asked them where they were from - London the flight arrived just a few hours earlier. 2 kids under 5. Said they were rope dropping and sleeping mid to late day bc they can’t afford the LLs. Made me so sad

@TheLeisureProf If they were to price it so that every wait time was just 30 minutes or less, tickets would be 3x the price. I'm more a fan of the upcoming airline style (supply/demand) pricing model. They can level load capacity, smoothing out high demand peaks into a lower demand valley.

I’ve been going to the Parks for 30+ years. Lines have always been hour+ for the good rides except for two periods: after DCA opened until 2.0, and during Covid. How long a line gets is about balk point than anything else. Price being used to throttle demand is treacherous.

@elonmusk I’ve owned multiple Teslas since 2018 and at now I can’t in good conscience recommend it to people due to it taking over a month right now to get service. This is an issue I had already had “fixed” under warranty & now they say will charge me for. Focus your efforts there.
