At #AAD2026, we shared our approach to targeting the biology of hair loss with PP405. In many cases, hair follicles don’t disappear, they become inactive over time and stop producing mature, terminal hair. Our approach focuses on reactivating these dormant follicles to restore the natural hair growth cycle. We look forward to sharing more this year as we continue to advance a treatment designed for both men and women experiencing #hairloss.

Hair follicles affected by androgenetic alopecia often remain present but inactive. Over time, follicles become miniaturized and shift from producing thick terminal hair to finer vellus hair. PP405 is designed to activate hair follicle stem cells and restart the natural hair growth cycle. The goal isn’t just new strands. It’s restoring mature, terminal hair growth.

What makes hair actually look better? In clinical research, improvements in hair appearance can come from: 🌱 more hairs 🌿 thicker hairs 🌱 faster growth 🌿 more follicular units producing mature hair One key factor is hair quality. Hair follicles produce either vellus hair (aka ‘baby’ hairs that is short, thin, lightly pigmented) or terminal hair (aka ‘mature’ hair that is longer, thicker, pigmented). In hair loss, follicles often shift from terminal to finer vellus hair as they miniaturize. Meaningful regrowth means restoring mature terminal hair growth.

At #AAD2026, we will be featured in a presentation on advances in the #hairloss treatment landscape and regenerative mechanisms. PP405 is designed to do more than improve existing hair, it aims to activate dormant follicular units and drive new terminal hair growth, a key factor in visible density.
