I've been creating a Mockup series from Thailand over the past few months. Tropical Mind, City Grind is a series of PSD mockups photographed on the streets of Bangkok. The idea was straightforward: to capture everyday urban environments shaped by tropical light and heat.

But the collection is also shaped by something else — a quiet admiration for the everyday ingenuity found across Thailand. Objects are constantly adapted, fixed, adjusted, and reimagined using whatever materials are available.

@ColonnaContempo Michele, you have always been the beacon for me in the world of art. I'm sad to read you close the physical space, but I'm also glad to read you will focus on curating. I hope this will be a new beginning!

I've been sitting with how to write this for a while now. There's no clean way to say it, so I'll just say it. Colonna Contemporary will be closing its doors on March 31st. When I opened this space, I was making a bet that art at the edge of technology deserved a real home, real context, real care. I believed that then and I believe it now. What we built here was something I'm genuinely proud of. We showed work that was different and rigorous and ahead of its moment. We introduced collectors to artists they didn't know they needed. We held space for a kind of practice that didn't have many homes yet. That mattered. It still does. Not looking at this as a defeat. More of a reckoning with what this chapter was for, and an honest look at what the next one needs to be. I will be pivoting to a curatorial studio format: leaner, more focused, built around deep collaboration rather than a physical or permanent commercial structure. The instincts that built the gallery aren't going anywhere. Just morphing. To the artists who trusted me with their work, thank you for that trust. It was never taken lightly. To the collectors who took chances on things that were genuinely hard to explain at a dinner party, you were always the right people in the room. To everyone who showed up, asked good questions, shared the work, or just paid attention, you were what made this worth doing. If there's a piece you've been eyeing and haven't pulled the trigger on, please reach out to me directly. I'd love to see the remaining works find the right homes before we close. Will make it worth your while. And on a personal note, I'm open. To opportunities, to conversations, to whatever comes next that's worth doing. If you've had something on your mind, now is genuinely a good time to reach out. Michele
