minor update i joined browser base to lead product for identity and trust last night cloudflare profiled perplexity’s use of our browsers. this is our position on enabling a web where legitimate agents and humans work together
Paul Klein IV@pk_iv

The way people use the internet is changing. We used to use browsers, now we're using AI. At Browserbase, we're caught in the middle of Perplexity and Cloudflare debating how AI should use the internet. We want to keep the internet open and useful for everyone. Here's how 👇

Browserbase now has a CLI. Browse the web, deploy serverless automations, debug sessions, and manage your entire project — all from the terminal. Just tell your agent: "Read browserbase.com/SKILL.md and set up Browserbase" Or try it yourself: npm i -g @browserbasehq/cli

@clairekart can i be honest? waymo is likely to pay for the entire moonshot division in the long run and fits the definition of a massively long term bet with a high risk return

serious question - meta has had so many pivots and crashouts google has all their 'moonshot' nonsense like ppl trying to build giant, frictionless pneumatic tubes to replace public transport has stripe ever had any huge misses? square (block)? feels like the fintechs are batting 100%

@j2k3k jake you don’t understand life is now identifying a new employment sector before others, upskilling, and then identifying bubble signs and rotating into the next one before it pops it’s like the stock picking but for employment

@AlHendiify cute story did you know that it took tjs 5 yrs to get permits from sf to open a grocery store in hayes valley it’s always the same script. city won’t let people build and then ask why the price of real estate goes up driving up the price of goods and housing

I’m going say this til I die: business landlords are a principal reason things in your city are unaffordable, why businesses want you in and out of the door, why wages are so low, jobs are so understaffed, and why small businesses aren’t multi generational.

@kayintveen i would imagine it’s incredibly straight forward. if you have opcodes in your token output, no other harness is going to have that for now

@peytoncasper yeah this tracks. the sandboxing is way more sophisticated than people realize. treating every session as a potential threat surface makes sense from their side. curious what signals they're actually collecting

Waymo should let people buy the cars. They should then allow users to decide if they want the car dedicated to them or optionally enter it into Waymo service during certain times and hours (eg while they’re at work).

Damning evidence suggesting that compliance certificates issued by Delve (a startup founded in 2023) are fraudlent + worthless I never understood how eg Cluely could be GDPR, SOC2, HIPAA compliant in ~a week. Now we know: they probably aren't. Just wild substack.com/home/post/p-19…
