For the vast majority of professional footballers, their careers are a series of short-term, unstable contracts. Yes, they do a job millions dream of. But that job is by no means as lucrative or secure as many assume. Artificially suppressing player wages is the wrong solution to a far deeper problem with football's finances. ⤵️
